name... Heart
gender... She-cat
age... 18 moons
group... Thorn’s Rogue Group
rank... Messenger
reference... A thin white she-cat with dark red patches
appearance... Heart, though she likes her own appearance, knows other acts might think it’s rather strange. The main color of her fur is white, though dark red patches cover about half of her body. The patches aren’t small – mostly, the red is focused into one large patch: a saddle-shaped one on her back. Several smaller spots are scattered around her legs, head and tail. This she-cat is thin, her body stripped of fat by her tendency to constantly be moving. Her dark eyes are closely set in Heart’s narrow head. This combination of dark eyes and patches with light-colored patches makes Heart’s fur a clear contrast between dark and light.
personality... As a kit, Heart was expected to be thrown out of the rogue group when she was older; her personality was entirely unlike the other cats in the band. Somehow, her mother’s and father’s belligerent attitudes canceled each other out for Heart, leading her to have a much kinder, caring persona then was needed. But the other cats in the band influenced her, and so Heart was changed, resulting in a flighty, nervous cat who is always ready to move.
The she-cat was made Queen Thorn’s messenger not only of her long legs and lithe body, but also because of her personality. Heart is a jumpy cat, always ready to run. In a bad situation, Heart would choose flight rather than fight; she is not a trusting she-cat. But even though she is secretive and aloof, Heart longs to have friends. Heart’s lack of siblings (and the lack of kindness in the band) led her to always want a family, friends and allies. She reaches out to others and sticks close to them, always wanting to be near them and talk to them. In this way, Heart reaches out but pulls back at the same time.
history... It’s hard to find love when you’re part of a vicious, bellicose band of cats, but this was no matter for Diamond and Club, two cats who were part of Thorn’s group. Both had been drawn in to the group as young adults, and over the years they had grown to like each other more and more, which soon resulted in Diamond’s pregnancy. Thorn did not approve of this ill-fated turn of events, and she threw Diamond out of the group. Diamond was forced to care for her single kit by herself, as Club was not allowed to leave – his abilities must be used for the band, not for himself and his mate.
When Heart grew older and Queen Thorn saw her capabilities, she and Diamond were accepted back into the rogue band. As a messenger, Heart was forcer to always be on the move, dashing from place to place. She savored the few moments of rest she got, but accepted her position with happiness, knowing that if she was still a loner, she would be prey and not predator.
acquaintances...
DIAMOND – mother.
CLUB – father.
