FERNSPIRIT

Fernspirit remained silent as all of the other Clans filed into the island's clearing. She kind of hoped that the other medicine cats would not come to comfort her, but she also wished for something to take her mind off of her mentor. Moutainfrost padded over to her once she entered the gathering. "Hey Mountainfrost," she said in aknowledgement of the other cat. She sat in silence as the she-cat tried to comfort her. "Yeah," she said softly, just before the leaders announced that the Gathering was starting. She forced herself to look up as they began. She noticed Snowfall come over by them, but she said nothing. She flicked her ears at him to show that she knew he had come. She sighed softly as Basilstar announced that there had been a murder. Honeylark had been killed by cats not in the Clans. It was a shame, already cats were dying from this threat, but what could they do? Finchstar stood up then, and Fernspirit flinched slightly. Of course, he announced that Vineleaf had been killed. He also announced that they had four more apprentices. She couldn't help but be happy for her brother, even though she was sad herself. ShadowClan and WindClan had had no recent deaths, and she was glad. No more cats needed to die. She looked away when Lionstar dipped his head to her. She wasn't used to being an important part of the Clan yet.


ASHWIND~~

Ashwind laughed softly as all the apprentices darted around the clearing, searching for others to talk to. He noticed his own apprentice, Mistypaw, running around. He shook his head slightly, it was going to be hard to keep her reined in for too long. He faced the leaders as they began to speak. He cast a quick glance at his sister to see if she was okay. Another medicine cat seemed to be comforting her. He tried to remember who it was. Moutainfrost, yes, Moutainfrost was with his sister. He turned back towards the leader as Basilstar announced that there had been a death in RiverClan. He frowned slightly, a warrior had already been killed by the danger? That was not good. Finchstar stepped forward and announced that Vineleaf had died. He resisted the urge to turn and look at Fernspirit. He puffed his chest out slightly as Finchstar added that they had new apprentices. His pride disappeared as ShadowClan and WindClan announced that they had had no deaths or bad news. He couldn't help but be jealous of those Clans. Why couldn't ThunderClan escape the danger? He glanced around as all the leaders finished talking.

The ginger tabby apprentice shook his head and then sat up straight, his amber eyes on the leaders for a second and then got distracted by some moths. A little chuckle escaped from him and he crawled slowly to the moths, watching their white wings fly and dance with the silver moonlight. He raised a small paw to them, opening his fingers, ready to catch one and attack. But before he even got the chance, a loud yowl interrupted his little hunt. Volepaw swished his head around to look at a cream tabby tom, his pelt blazing underneath the moon. Volepaw spat at the ground, and saw his moth friends escaping, vanishing into the shadows of the oaks. His neck fur bristled for a moment and then he stood up, walking to sit down by Mistypaw.

When Basilstar, the silver tabby who was leader of the fat and proud RiverClan, stood up from his seat, Volepaw noticed a 'rejected' look on his face, with some anger that quickly went away. Volepaw twitched his ears and mewed, 'Well, not our fault Finchstar can be a total proud mouse-brain. He's just like that.' He listened to the RiverClan leader's report, yawning at each sentence Basilstar said. Well, except for the whole Honeylark thing, which Volepaw preferred not to tell if he was Basilstar. Blah blah blah, we get it, he thought, flickering his tail in annoyance at Basilstar's whole 'death and life' speech. His heart leaped when it was Finchstar's turn. When the ThunderClan leader reported Vineleaf's death (who was the former ThunderClan medicine cat), Volepaw closed his eyes and had a moment of silence for Vineleaf on his own. He pitied poor Fernspirit, who was the black cat crouching in sadness. Then, when Finchstar announced him and the other three apprentices and stared at them, Volepaw couldn't help at the feeling of pride gnawing at his stomach. In fact, he couldn't keep it in his stomach.

'Haha! Beat that, suckers!' he leaped proudly, his paw in the air and his amber eyes glowing. Millions of cat faces were staring at him, non-blinking. But Volepaw just licked his paw and stared back at the cats, a brave look on his face. The other leaders had nothing to report.[/blockquote]

Blizzardheart wrinkled his pink nose at the other Clan scents, mumbling probably something not so nice about the other Clans. He put his head on the soft grass, the blue orbs he carries for eyes non-blinking. A thought came in his dark mind, Why am I even here? I don't give a piece of dung about the other Clans! A snarl escaped his sharp and mean mouth, exposing his sharp white teeth, which gleamed like pearls. His white-furred back was to the Clan leaders, kinda disrespecting them, but he didn't really care. All he wanted to do was go home and maybe finish checking the herbs or go to sleep and never be awoken again. He hoped that would happen.

Blizzardheart's paws had unsheathed claws on them, long and white and sharp. He studied them for a minute and imagined himself as a warrior in battle, ripping innocence out of different cats' souls and laugh at the blood spilling. But for some reason, his destiny didn't lead him to that. His destiny led him to taking care of sick cats, helping queens give birth, and get signs from StarClan. A sigh escaped from his mouth which drifted him into sleep and he didn't hear anything else.

Guess Blizzardheart's taking a snooze at the Gathering.
